So, as you know, DLC Collection is on a hiatus since january.
However, there are some things which need to change once I start working on this again.
My entire modding career (yes, even back when I was developing my Mario mod before DLC Collection ever existed). I knew one time, life will catch up with me and I will no longer have as much of a free time as I have now. It didn't happen yet, but it's slowly coming.
My original plan was to cancell the mod, but I can't, I love this mod too much to cancell it. So what now? As I said I will return to DLC Collection once I finish Lost Soul (which is still the plan).
As you know, up until now I always worked on a single BIG update which had some problems, for example quick bug fixes were hard to do. So what is changing? Instead of making big updates, I will create really small updates, but extremely frequently. Don't worry, you're not loosing any content. Technicaly speaking, this should even improve quality of the mod since feedback I get from players will be more useful than ever.
So, how will this system work? I will still focus on DLCs, however they will be released in parts. Let me give you an example on ALREADY RELEASED DLC. Let's use DLC: Ender Codex as Example. It would be split into these updates.
DLC: Ender Codex Phase Begins - Version Betas
Part I - Enderlings
Part II - Generation
Part III - Novis Orchis and Endmetal
Part IV - End Refinery Event + Ender Codex
DLC: Ender Codex Phase Finishes - Version Release + Trailer releases
This above is an example, for players prefering full updates, you can just skip these and wait for final release. ONCE I AM BACK I will finish Double Trouble refresh OLD WAY and release it as one big update, then I will do 1.19 (or 1.20 port) and then I will switch to this system.
Thanks for reading and see you once I am back from the break
