Well, this one took a while.
In this devlog:
- Patch
- Noelle: Lost Soul
- Design philosophy
- 1.18 port and the delayed features
- 1.19
So, remember how I said Sandstorm update will be last 1.16.5 update? Well I was wrong, there will be one mroe small patch fixing some big issues. I hope I can finish it until end of the month.
Phew, so I finished first iteration of first phase and got some feedback on it from testers. The work from now will be slower since I need to work on DLC Collection too.
Well as you might know, many features in DLC Collection are unpolished. However I like to revisit those features and refresh them with refreshes, thats why the roadmap got so bloated with refreshes. For example radiation is a system which I thought needed upgrade, but now I can see it needs to be removed. I had a long time to think about these things while on my break.
Speaking of, after the patch is out I shall finally begin my work on the 1.18 port. However, not all features will be present. I want to make it so if you choose to upgrade world from 1.16 you will still have the features. So most of the things which wont appear in first version are things like some structures and maybe some mobs (two of those being the Terracotta and Redstone Golems which shall get reworked in refresh coming right after 1.18 port)
So, the wild update is out. Its not the bigest update, but not the smallest one either. I didn't played it yet since the server I am playing on is waiting for paperspigot. However I really like what it adds and I want to utilise echo shards for something once I update to that version in future.
So thats it for this devblog. I hope to see you reading next one.
